first, open your User CP and put in the pertinent info - your location, Passat model/engine, etc.

you have 8 speakers. four are tweeters, that reproduce the higher frequency sounds, and four mid-bass speakers the reproduce lower frequency sounds. the total output power produced by the head unit is approximately 50 watts; therefore, if the power were split evenly amongst all the speakers (and it isn't), each speaker would receive approximately 6 watts.

The speakers don't make any power. The HU does. And, if you have a Monsoon unit, it's amplified (a very little bit).
